Presentation

The E-CMMS module provides all the relevan management functionalities for the maintenance of an industrial plant. This module works in collaboration with the E – DMS module.

 

Administration and configuration

Quickbrain allows users to manage access profiles for different modules and for all users via  a  graphical  user  interface  which  can  be  accessed  via  the  administrator  set-up.

Each user will have access only to the assets for which  they are responsible as well as the associated data (plan maintenance, historic, tasks,…).

Quickbrain is configurable but only to a limited extent in order not to over complicate the
solution.
It is possible to manage access profiles and user rights for :

  • Administrators,
  • Editors,
  • Readers.

The administrators will have access to the setup functionality of the solution.

Editors are the people who will create or modify documents.

Readers  will  consult  the  documentation  and  it  is  possible  to  create  mixed  profiles
combining the rights of different key profiles.

Technical tree management

Quickbrain allows you to manage multiple tree levels (as much as is required) and to associate (module E – DMS) documents and materials.

Each tree is called “Project” and is visible to authorized users only.

The material concept allows the user to finely manage the information relative to the equipment which fulfils the function defined in the tree. In other words, a material can be associated with several functions (tree functional nodes). Hence a sensor temperature, such as a Endress Hauser – TR142 can be used to measure the boiler outlet flue gas temperature, and the hot water loop temperature as well. This architecture allows you to determine how many identical equipments are present in the plant and in which locations (used case).

The functional tree allows you to break down the plant into functional sets (systems, subsystems,…) in a flexible and parameterized manner, right until the material. It is also possible to copy/paste/move nodes in the tree graphically without limiting the number of levels.

Each material is characterized by a series of metadata which allows the user to find the equipment rapidly. This metadata may be supplemented by specific attributes in order to increase the number of available information. Nevertheless, the available metadata has been optimized to obtain the optimal ratio : effort of intelligence report / search speed.

Equipment carry the following information:

  • Maintenance Plan,
  • Useful maintenance documents
  • Bill of materials,
  • Customized specific attributes…

Creation of the technical repository

The maintenance management involves the creation of a robust technical repository and one of Quickbrain’s unique functions was originally developed to collect maintenance data in a simple and relevant manner.

Quickbrain allows to bind the various objects in the application (documents, materials and articles) in order to feed the database.

The materials allows the user to collect all useful information for the maintenance implementation such as the preventive maintenance plan.

The service instruction, called operations, are also created from the material, either a simple form (text editor), or in the form of detailed procedures (sub-operations).

An operation provides useful information to the operator for the correct execution of his tasks, such as :

  • Instructions,
  • Document references,
  • Necessary tools,
  • Resources such as Oils, grease, various consumables,…),
  • The workforce.
  • Necessary spare parts, in connection with the Bill Of Materials (BOMs).

Calendar type triggers or counter (time, number of starts,…) can be associated with a preventive operation.

Preventive maintenance management

Maintenance operations are aggregated at the level of the functional nodes in the tree and the user can trigger all or part of the maintenance plan. The triggering of an operation resultas in creating a task (work order).

The task inherits the operation information and allows to set a completion date. The job scheduling is possible using the task planning in a graphical manner (drag & drop and filters).

It is then necessary to allocate resources to support the task.

This condition occurs with the task list. It is not possible to assign a human resource task if it is not available. A schedule of absences allows to manage downtime of each registered user in the application.

Corrective maintenance management

Corrective tasks are created directly from the functional tree and associated equipment via the events.

An event/action management system allows the user to follow unplanned maintenance actions. An event allows to report a technical fact which can be saved. It can lead to a treatment that is embodied in an action item. The latter then includes, in addition to the description of the tasks, a manager and a completion date.

Actions can be viewed on a schedule or a list and classified according to their status, delayed treatment, responsible person…

Condition based maintenance management

Quickbrain allows the user to manage signals from the SCADA that can be linked to the functional tree nodes and serve as triggers for maintenance tasks.

It is therefore possible to visualize any analog value at the level of a node in the tree, for example in providing a diagnostic support.

The signal collection is completed using a proprietary system developed by Crazylog, called the QBox,  for the collection and dissemination of signals in real time.

Stock management

Quickbrain allows multistock items management by using a movement system from one stock to another.

A detailed item file allows characterizing the items of the machine bill of materials, understand the used cases of the item on different materials of the plant and also understand the stocked quantities.
